Company Overview

While working on his PhD at Carnegie Mellon, our founder, Dr. Ying Liu, discovered a set of algorithms that were well suited to image and pattern recognition.

As his research in the field of pattern recognition continued, Dr. Liu expanded upon the basic research and developed a new set of algorithms. These became known as the Attrasoft Boltzmann Machine (ABM) and the Attrasoft PolyNet (APN) algorithms.

Attrasoft developed the first pattern recognition software, Predictor, in 1995 and the first image recognition software, ImageFinder, in 1998.

By 2001, these algorithms were deployed in a software solution and the initial patents were filed.

From 2001 to 2007, Attrasofts content recognition solution, ImageFinder, was deployed in a variety of industries and applications.

Today, Attrasoft has more than 400 clients, and accumulative sales close to 1 million dollars.

As Internet piracy issues emerged in late 2006, Attrasoft expanded its product line to include VideoFinder. The team was also expanded and a new business line was launched.

Today, Attrasoft is a Georgia based company that works with some of the worlds largest content owners and media firms to fingerprint, detect, and measure image and video content.

Attrasoft is a proud member of the ATDC. The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) is a nationally recognized science and technology incubator that helps Georgia entrepreneurs launch and build successful companies.
